This Privacy Policy explains what DeltaVisor ("we," "us") collects when you use the Service, how we use it, and the choices you have. The records DeltaVisor compiles come from public sources and are not personal data we collect about you; this policy is about the account and usage data tied to your use of the Service.
What we collect
- Account information, your name, email address, organization name, and password (stored hashed). Email verification codes are held briefly during sign-up.
- Payment information, handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store full card details; we keep a customer reference and subscription status returned by Stripe.
- Usage and search activity, the searches you run and the standing searches you save, with timestamps. This search history is core to how the Service works (alerting and intelligence) and is associated with your account and organization.
- Analytics and device data, we use Google Analytics, which sets cookies and collects standard information such as IP address, browser, pages viewed, and referring links, to understand usage and improve the Service.
- Logs, server logs of requests (including IP address and user agent) for security, debugging, and abuse prevention.
How we use it
- operate, maintain, and secure the Service and your account;
- run your saved searches and deliver alerts and intelligence;
- process subscriptions and payments;
- send transactional email (verification, password resets, alerts, billing notices);
- understand and improve how the Service is used.
How we share it
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us run the Service, under contract and only as needed:
- Stripe, payment processing;
- Cloudflare, email delivery and infrastructure;
- Google Analytics, usage analytics.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the Service, our users, or others.
Retention
We keep account information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. We retain search and usage history to power alerting and intelligence. When you close your account, we delete or de-identify personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to meet legal obligations.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can update your account details or delete your account from the dashboard, or by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these, contact us at the address below. Changes
We may update this policy. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to let you know. Your continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
